Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you an Outdoor Wetpour Surfacing Install in Leicester.

So for this job we were emailed by the school that own this area, and wanted to create an outdoor playground that was safe for children to be using.

We discussed wetpour surfacing with them, and it’s many benefits as a play area flooring option. Before we knew it, we were on site installing the bespoke works.

So wetpour surfaces are widely believed to be the best option for outdoor playgrounds here in the UK, as they are made up of a spongy rubber compound.

This compound means that the flooring is great at absorbing trips and falls commonly seen during playtime, and in turn meets the critical fall height safety requirements needed for UK play areas.

For this work, we were contacted by this nursery that wanted a brand new safety surface fitted to their outdoor area.

When having a new playground flooring fitted at a school, it’s crucial that the safety of the surface is the priority.

So for this job, the client got in touch with us interested in having a brand new outdoor play area flooring fitted at their school.

A member of their staff let us know that their biggest priority was to ensure the children were safe during play, but they also wanted something colourful and capable of withstanding out harsher seasons here in the UK.

After showing the client the surface types we could offer them, it was quickly agreed that the perfect surface solution for them would be EPDM wetpour rubber.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a Black Wetpour & Artificial Turf Construction at a Nursery in Essex.

So for this job the client wanted to have both a safety surface fitted for their play area, but also wanted artificial grass fitted to maintain a natural look without the upkeep of natural grass.

We broke down the surfacing options that we could install for them, as well as the costs, and soon after we were cracking on with the works.

So it was mutually agreed with the nursery that for their playground flooring, wetpour surfacing would be their best option. This surface consists of an EPDM rubber, and as a result makes it one of the best safety surfaces available in the UK.

It’s rubber qualities means that it’s a very safe flooring, meeting the critical fall height (of CFH) requirements needed for outdoor play areas in the UK.

It’s also a flooring type that works well as an outdoor surface because its rubber make-up means it’s actually porous, absorbing rainfall during our more challenging months.

We were contacted by the owner of the playground, and they wanted a new surface for their facility, looking for a flooring that was customisable but kept the safety of the children in mind.

We discussed that they had several options for the surface that we could offer them, and we proceeded to agree that wetpour would be perfect for what they were looking for.

So for this job the client got in touch with us looking for a new surface to surround their park bench and wanted something that looked natural without the typical maintenance needed. We explained the rubber mulch we could offer and very shortly after got to work installing.

So rubber mulch is a surface type consisting of recycled rubber chippings, coloured and blended together to create a natural-looking surface.

Rubber mulch has many benefits, the first of which is the fact that despite giving off this natural appearance, rubber mulch is largely maintenance-free. Occasional brushing off of the surface is all that’s required for rubber mulch, which is perfect for those wanting that natural look but without the added effort.
