Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a Colourful Rubber Playground Flooring in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

We were initially contacted by the owner of this school who were looking for a large playground surfacing to be fitted. They told us they’d like something bespoke to their design to help the surface to stand out, but that also kept the safety of the children as a priority.

We showed them some examples of the work we could carry out for them, as well as the surface options we could provide, and before long we were at the school installing the job.

So in terms of the surface type we opted for, it was mutually agreed that wetpour surfacing would be the best option for the school. Wetpour is a flooring type made up of EPDM rubber, and it very popular nationwide for the following reasons.

So this client previously had a worn out tarmacadam surface that they initially feared needed resurfacing, however after getting in contact with us and showing us some photos of the surface, we reassured them that we could bring their surface back to life with an anti-slip painting.

The first benefit of having anti-slip painting carried out on your existing sports surface is that it’s much cheaper than having a full resurface carried out. So as long as your surface doesn’t have too much extensive damage, this is something we can do for you.

The second advantage to this maintenance solution is that is truly does restore the surface back to it’s best, both from an aesthetics point of view and also from a playability aspect.

So this job we were contacted by the owner of this sports facility that wanted to replace their old hard court flooring with something safer and brighter.

We explained the benefits of our wetpour surfacing, as well as the various colour and design options they had for the flooring, and we were booked in soon after to install the job.

During our discussion, we broke down why wetpour is such a popular outdoor safety surface here in the UK. The first reason being due to its porous qualities.

School Play Area Surface Design

Our team carried out this project to install an educational playground surface at a school in Brighton, East Sussex. The design included a roadway with artificial grass in the middle, and a yellow area with colourful animal graphics.

With this actual installation we carried out the work at a small nursery, and they were looking to turn their outdoor area into an education playground for the children to be using at breaktime and lunchtime.

So you can see from these before photos that the client’s old surface was particularly worn out, with areas of damage and moss build up on the flooring. They got in touch in touch with us to see what we can do, and it went from there.

So from observing the images of their surface, we let the client know that a complete resurfacing was not necessary, and that our cleaning and painting services would help bring the surface back to life.
