So we carried out this work at a school, and they initially got in touch with us interested in a new safety surface for their area. We explained exactly what it was that we could do for them, and shortly after we were on site installing.

  • Fire – Either through vandalism or stray embers from a barbecue. This kind of intense heat applied directly onto an artificial lawn can burn and melt the grass.

So this client were looking for a new long jump area to go beside their existing sports facility, and wanted to ensure that the surface was of a professional quality for use. We broke down the options that we could provide for them, and we then proceeded to agree on choosing a polymeric surface for this long jump installation.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a Long Jump Pit Construction in Stockport, Manchester.

So this client was a school, and came to us enquiring about having a fully long jump facility fitted on their large open field. When we explained the services we could offer them, we were on site before we knew it cracking on.

So here at Soft Surfaces we’ve been installing long jump facilities across the country for 20 years, and the surface type we used for this runway was multi sport. This surface looks absolutely fantastic when installed, and is great to use for athletics facilities.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today i’m going to be showing you a Wetpour Playground Design Installation in Glasgow.

So this school contacted us wanting to have a bespoke playground surfacing installed that met their custom requirements, but also put safety first. After a brief conversation explaining what we could do for them,we were on site shorty after cracking on with the installation.

The most popular flooring type we fit for playgrounds across the country is wetpour, and that’s what we used for this job. Wetpour surfacing is really the perfect option for playgrounds here in the UK for the following reasons:

Firstly, because its made up of an EPDM rubber compound, wetpour is porous, making it great as an outdoor surface option as water is simply absorbed by the surfacing. This makes it miles less likely to flood than many of its competitors.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a School Playground Design and Install in Manchester.

So received a call from this client enquiring about having a large outdoor safety surface for their play area. They wanted to ensure they could put their own spin on the surface itself, with the ability to specify different colours and graphics for the flooring. We explained what we could offer them, and were quickly on site getting to work.

So the flooring option we ended up agreeing with the client to install was wetpour surfacing, which is the surface we most regularly install for playgrounds here at Soft Surfaces. Wetpour is made up of a spongy rubber material, and because of this it absorbs falls fantastically and meets the critical fall height standards needed for play areas.

Secondly, EPDM wetpour is perfect for those wanting an outdoor play area, as it’s rubber credentials mean that this surface option is actually porous. This makes it excellent for our rainy months here in the UK, as it’s much less prone to flooding than many other surface types.

Finally, with wetpour, those having it fitted also have the luxury of being able to choose practically any colour they want for their flooring to be fitted in, and can even choose to fit bespoke graphics to the surfaces such as games for the kids, shapes, logos and more!

We have recently installed a long jump runway facility in Preston, Lancashire. Check out the video below to see the full project and how it turned out.

Hi guys it’s Dan here, and today we’re going to be showing you a MultiSport Long Jump Pit Installation in Preston.

This installation was carried out at a school, and they gave us a ring looking for a new long jump facility to be fitted alongside their existing sports pitch. We described the surface types we can offer, and shortly after we agreed that multisport would be perfect for them.

So the multisport synthetic surfacing we fit is an artificial flooring that is very well suited to long jump and triple jump use. We’ve been fitting multisport surfaces across the country for over 20 years now, and have seen a steady rise in it’s popularity during that time.

Multisport synthetic is excellent due to the fact that it’s a very durable surface type, and requires no real maintenance other than occasional brushing. This makes it very easy to own, and multisport still feels fantastic to use under foot for athletics too.
